The Hasty Pudding Theatricals invites you to look past the big-name celebrities and sold out productions that characterize the Theatricals every year and to spend a day in the life of the Harvard University undergraduate students who make it all happen.
Stars like Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, Tom Cruise and Drew Barrymore all have come to the Pudding not only to receive the celebrated Pudding Pot, but also to interact with and get roasted by the group of students who dedicate months of their time to putting it all together.
This year, the Pudding will present its 156th production, to be chosen in the fall. Student-run as always, the production will include a student written and performed script, student written and performed music and a business staff and producing team composed entirely of students. This undergraduate company has included Alan Jay Lerner, Theodore Roosevelt, William Weld, and Jack Lemmon when they were Harvard students. Who knows what the future has in store for the Company of HPT 156?
In addition to the show, these students also run the annual Man and Woman of the Year ceremonies, which promise to showcase two internationally lauded representatives from the artistic world. We hope you will get to know the members of the oldest student organization in the country and the hosts of the biggest annual student hosted celebrity awards ceremony.
