175th Alumni Anniversary Weekend
February 2nd – 4th
Hello alumni,
Let’s be honest, we’re excited. After all, other than the elected officials who run this country, there aren’t many things that get to celebrate their 175th birthday. In our excitement, we’ve sent a few emails with various bits of information. And so here is the one email you need to get totally caught up.
First the history: On the auspicious day of Friday, December 13th, 1844 Pudding member Lemuel Hayward decided to treat his fellow members to a surprise musical burlesque in Hollis 11. Of course, Lemuel could have never guessed that this performance (now HPT 0: Bombastes Furioso) would create one of America’s great theater traditions. Nor would he predict that someday Harvard students might be women.
The first weekend in February will mark the opening of HPT’s 175th production, HPT 175: Heist, Heist, Baby! to mark the occasion we will be hosting an unmissable 175th Weekend Spectacular, packed with events (Opening Night, an Alumni Revue, the 175th Reception with food and libations, &c, &c), lots of opportunities to catch up with alumni from all generations, as well as plenty of time in our “new” clubhouse.
Make no mistake—you don’t want to miss this Revue Weekend. We’re anticipating our largest turnout in recent and failing memory. We hope you can join us to celebrate.

7:00pm – Roast of the Man of the Year and HPT 175 Premiere (Farkas Hall – 12 Holyoke Street)
10:00pm – The Afterparty (Hasty Pudding Clubhouse – 45 Dunster Street)

Saturday, February 3rd
Daytime:
12:30pm – Theatre Entertainment & Media Meetup with the Mignone Center for Career Success (Barker Center 110 – Thompson Room)
All day – Stop by the Clubhouse for past Pudding shows, memorabilia, and light refreshments (Hasty Pudding Clubhouse)
Evening:
Attire is Black-Tie Optional. Please bring your Hasty Pudding Medals.
5:30pm — Alumni Cocktail Hour (Farkas Hall)
6:30pm — Alumni Revue (Farkas Hall)
8:00pm — Alumni and Undergraduate 175th Anniversary Reception (substantial canapés at the Hasty Pudding Clubhouse)
Postprandial — Afterparty (Hasty Pudding Clubhouse)
Sunday, February 4th
11:00am – Brunch (Hasty Pudding Clubhouse)

ALUMNI REVUE
This year’s Alumni Revue will feature popular songs from Pudding past with original bits written by a few of our illustrious Pudding alumni. We are looking for alumni of all ages, sizes, and net worths to participate in this revue. We need actors, we need a band, we need a tech crew, we need various miscellaneous help. Casting is open to ALL alumni, regardless of gender and historic part of the company.
